Yes. Smoking is bad. But some of us still do it, and we do it with the intention of keeping it completely private so that no one else suffers from our secondhand smoke.
We understand the issues non smokers have with that; many of us are polite and accommodating, and do not go around blowing smoke into the faces of babies, young children, or senior citizens.
For all of that, however, an increasing number of apartments, duplexes, townhouses, and rental homes have a straight up smoking ban these days. Are they allowed to do that? Absolutely. Are you entitled any rights no complain? Nope, but you can move.
The fact is, while some smokers may not think it is fair, when you are sharing a home or a building with other, non smoking tenants, it is completely their right to think about their health. They do not want the risk of secondhand smoke, so you will simply have to take it outside — or quit altogether.

You know all of those emails you used to get, saying that the wife, husband, child, or lawyer of some major figure in Nigeria, South Africa, or Timbuktu were ready to send you forty thousand billion dollars if you would just pay a small fee?
Well, there are lots of scams quite like that currently revolving around rental properties. It is disheartening — and easy to fall for, if you are desperate for a place to live.
The people behind these scams count on that. They also count on our eagerness to get a good deal. The house of your dreams might be available for one thousand a month … but the owner is out of the country, has no one in state to talk to you, so you have to pay a couple of hundred dollars to get the key to the property.
Beware of such scams. Do not let your eagerness blind you.

When you think about it – the kitchen is something that is very, very important to a hell of a lot of people. When you are looking to buy a home, what is the first thing that you judge? For me, it is how big the kitchen is and how well it is designed. While most home sellers can not remodel their entire kitchen in order to sell their home, there are a few little touches that you can do.
For example, bright colors – not only on the walls but also on the cabinets are very, very popular it seems. When you are looking to do a change in the kitchen and make it brighter and fresher, why not paint the cabinets a bright color? It will help make your house sell in the long run.
While I don’t exactly agree with lime green – another bright color would really help make your kitchen pop!

Now, I know that the sink in your kitchen or even in your bathroom is something that you do not really think about, but it seems that nowadays, buyers are extremely fickle and totally picky. They want to have their attention to detail and they want their sink to be fancy. Kohler has really set the bar in the way of sinks and facets and they have created some of the most beautiful things in the world. The sink in your home – whether it is your bathroom sink or your kitchen sink is something that is a reflection of you and your home.
Some sink trends include fancy facets that pull away, deep, deep sinks and also see-through sinks or even sinks that are mounted to the wall. All of these are more are definitely becoming popular!

Everybody should want to be a good tenant. Whether you are renting a house or an apartment, whether you get along with your neighbors or not, whether you like your landlord or not, you always want to be a responsible tenant. At the very least, you want to be respectful to any tenants who come after you — so cleaning up your rental property before you move out is really a must.
Besides, cleaning up can help you get your deposit back, so it can pay to be tidy. You should either get a copy of the move in inspection which occurred when you moved in; if you did not do this, your landlord should have an inspection form for moving out, so you know what to clean up.
You can even have your landlord walk through the property, to tell you what should be fixed so you can get your deposit returned.
Cleaning is one thing; repairing is another. If anything is broken or damaged, try your best to repair it.
In particular, make sure both the bathrooms and the kitchen are clean.

Painting your home inside and out is something that you need to think about doing before you even put it on the market. In this day and age, with all of the hud homes and foreclosed homes, if you are a seller and you are competing with that, you will need to make sure that your home shines and a fresh coat of paint is definitely something that can do the trick – however, you want to make sure that you pick the right color. That is something that many home sellers have a problem with, choosing a color that will appeal to prospective buyers.
To be perfectly honest, white on white on black is something that works extremely well. If you have a white exterior, make sure that any accents, like a porch or even some shutters are black – white and black make awesome colors together and they certainly had a bit of class to any house.
Inside, white on white is definitely something that you should go with, adding in at least one accent wall in each room to draw the eye to. That way, the home buyers can paint the home however they want.

The Obama Administration is truly trying to make the housing market a little bit better and they are offering tax credits in the form up $8,000 on qualified homes.
While this might not seem like a lot in the long run, when you think about the fact that in addition to the reduced price of any home that you are thinking about getting on top of a $8,000 tax incentive that you do not have to pay back?
